However, the peace of Flower Valley was shattered when a baby infected with the Purple Demon Orchid's poison, brought by the divine beast Phoenix from outside the valley, was brought in. The King and Queen of Flower Valley defied their ancestral rule of forbidding outsiders, taking in the baby, naming her Princess Peony, and raising her to adulthood.
