In 2015, the Chaldea Security Organization predicts the demise of humanity within a year. Using time travel technology, its researchers send humanity's last master, Ritsuka Fujimaru, and his demi-servant, Mash Kyrielight, to the past to change seven key historical events—named Singularities—and retrieve the Holy Grails that harness the power to save the world.

After returning victorious from the journey to fix the sixth Singularity in Babylonia, Ritsuka and Mash face their most formidable enemy, Mage-King Solomon, whose magic is responsible for the imminent tragedy in 2016. Equipped with a special suit that allows him to summon the greatest heroes of the past, Ritsuka will stop at nothing to prevail against the man who has sworn to destroy mankind.
