Hikaru's best friend since childhood. Though he's initially surprised by Hikaru's relationship with Rihito, he admits it makes sense because of Hikaru's lack of attraction to women, and is happy he was able to find love. He plays the bass and likes to gently tease Rihito. He later gets married and becomes a father.
