Mikoto's elder sister. They were separated for thirteen years before the beginning of the story when their parents divorced. Her parents decided that Sayuri was going to stay with her mother while Mikoto was going to stay with her father who did not voice any complaints about leaving Sayuri behind, which caused her to develop distrust towards all people, especially men.
